Minister Dunlop: This is what a tornado can look like fast, fierce and devastating. In Ontario, tornadoes can strike with little warning, especially during the warmer months. That's why being prepared is critical.
Monitor weather alerts. Have the emergency kit ready and if a warning is issued, don't hesitate. Take shelter in a basement or the lowest level of your home. Stay away from windows, doors and outside walls. If you're caught outside, find a low lying area and lie flat because when seconds count, your actions can save lives. This tornado season, let's build a safer, stronger Ontario by staying alert and ready.
